A renowned political activist in Edo State, Mr. Ibude Enarunina Ephrain and others who stood behind the former Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole are now been hunted for alleged roles played in that administration.
When they joined the campaign train of the former governor to tour through the eighteen local government areas of Edo State for the governor ship election they never knew that their active participation to ensure victory at the polls will one day make them fugitive.
It perhaps may have never crossed the mind of Mr. Ibude Enarunina Ephrain and that of others who are now on a wanted list for their active participation in the electoral process that led to the emergence of the All Peoples Progressive Congress APC governorship candidate that one day the state would be too hot to reside in.
The Nigerian Observer political correspondent gathered that these notable political foot soldiers have been penciled down for elimination for their role played during the past administration of the former labor leader, Adams Oshiomhole
They are now victims in the cross fire between the administration of the incumbent governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and the former governor Adams Oshiomhole and since the vendetta on those in the opposition, the likes of Enarunina have gone underground because they were at the for front chanting one man one vote, no man is God, let the people lead, for Adams Oshiomhole.
It was gathered that these political stalwarts did not mince words about their support for Adams Oshiomhole’s administration and they were die hard and committed to all its policies and programmes that have now earned them hatred by this new administration.
According to sources, Mr. Ibude Enarunina Ephrain in particular was tagged as an informant to Comrade Adams Oshiomhole who was alleged to be one of the boys armed during the election.
In the words of sources who pleaded for anonymity, “It was true that Oshiomhole was stockpiling arms ahead of the governorship election and it was reported to the law enforcement agencies with the hope that they will take action to protect the lives and property of Edo people.
“But the last time we told the security agencies about the assassins that were brought into Edo State by Oshiomhole, they thought we were joking, so we gave them details of these suspected persons led by Enarunina.
“It also happened during the convocation ceremony at Edo University, Iyamho, where important dignitaries were attacked in front of Oshiomhole’s house. These political foot soldiers loyal to Oshiomhole were fingered for being behind the attack and a petition was written to the police but nothing was done about it.”
It was learnt that ten years later, the new government in power has stated the process of bringing to book those loyalist of the Comrade governor by reawakening allegations of their past and since then the where about of Mr. Ibude Enarunina Ephrain is unknown.
