Thugs suspected to be hired assassins allegedly on the trail of family of Favour Rosemary have destroyed and burnt down the family house in Udo community Edo state in Nigeria over their refusal to pay up millions of naira used in processing Favour Rosemary’s oversea trip for prostitution.
A report issued by the police stated that the said assassins allegedly on the trail of favour Rosemary were hired by a popular human trafficker one Gloria based in Europe .
According to the report, Favour Rosemary was unsuspectingly lured into prostitution by agents of Gloria in Nigeria 2015 with the intent of getting a decent job abroad.
However, Favour Rosemary, according to the report,was told by Gloria(the human trafficker) to settle for prostitution as a means to eke out a living in Europe but it was said that Favour Rosemary refused because she was not prepared for prostitution as a means to earn a decent living.
It was reported that threats to the family of Favour Rosemary started coming when it became obvious that Favour Rosemary in Europe absconded after refusing to pay up her money to Gloria as she was not interested in the indecent act of prostitution.
The Nigerian Observer gathered that as part of desperate measures to get back her money ,Gloria through Gift and Blessing, her relatives and agent in Nigeria decided to send assassins after the family of Favour Rosemary in Udo.
According to the report,all the occupants of the family house fled for their life when the thugs in their numbers stormed the community in Udo and destroyed the building before setting it ablaze.
Meanwhile, the police further revealed that while investigation was ongoing into the case of threat to life of Favour Rosemary and her family in Nigeria, measures have been intensified to arrest all the suspects involved in the dastardly act of human trafficking and arson.
The report further stated that the anti-human trafficking department of police in collaboration with women affairs were in partnership to ensure that all the members of the human trafficking syndicate organized by Gloria both in Nigeria and Europe are arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the provisions of the law.
