A middle-aged man, Iduahan Augustine, has escaped with eye injury sustained as members of the deadly Black Axe confraternity cult group, popularly called “Aye” invaded his house and attacked him over his refusal to carry out instructions to kill a member of a rival Eiye cult group in Benin.
The 30-yr-old truck driver barely got appointment with Sam and Song Nigeria Limited, when he started facing some difficult situations, immediately after he resumed his duty in the company as some of his colleagues, who he met on ground, ceaselessly harassed, disturbed and intimidated him to join the Black Axe Cult group or else he would find it difficult to work in the company.
Speaking to Journalists, a close source, Monday Iduahan, who was privy to the challenges faced by the said Iduahan Augustine, said that after much pressure, he joined the cult group and that no sooner he joined, than the leadership of the cult group told him about their shoddy activities to sustain relationship which they do which they would like him to be involved like armed robbery, killing, raping, kidnapping and oppressing innocent citizens within the neighbourhood, which he (Iduahan Augustine) never liked as a Christian.
The source said that in exercise of their power in the cult group, the second in command, Donald Osarumwense Osatohanmwan on the 25th day of April 2016 came to the house of Iduahan Augustine to tell him that he had been assigned to kill a member of a rival Eiye cult group in a reprisal attack on the ongoing cult clashes in the city and as such he brought gun and picture to for the mission.
The source added that Iduahan Augustine disobeyed and did not go for the assignment, hence the overall boss on the 28th day of April 2016, called him on phone to tell him that it was against the ethics, rules and regulations of the cult group for a member to disobey an order and that whoever does so, will face death penalty as punishment.
The source explained that to make good their threats, on the 30th of April 2016, the members of the Black Axe confraternity cult group invaded the house of Iduahan Augustine and attacked him with the intention to kill him but he sustained an injury on the left eye as he escaped and angrily, they pounced on his family.
The sources pointed out that Iduahan Augustine, after managed to escape, went to the police station to report, but the police, who supposed to have acted swiftly to give him justice, started demanding money from him, saying they would need to investigate the matter before making any arrest and having discovered that the police could not act accordingly, the cult members started chasing him with the intention to kill him since he no longer have the police protection and consequent upon that, he escaped and his escape never gone down well with the cultists as they threatened to tirelessly search for him and family to kill for daring them.
