The attack on the family of four which occurred on August 20, 2021 could not be unconnected with the resolved of the occultic members to eliminate Patrick and his family members for refusing to join them even after he was dedicated to Fraternity by his late father as a toddler.

Patrick, an eldest son of Late Pa. Bello, a top notch of the Ogboni Fraternity and chieftain of a popular political party in Nigeria while alive was said to have dedicated his oldest son to the dreaded occultic group with the intent to initiating him into the group in order to take after his position in the fraternity.

Narrating Patrick’s ordeal, a source who did not want her name mentioned over security reasons said that trouble started after the death on July 12, 2021 and burial ceremonies of Pa. Bello, as the occultic demanded Patrick to perform certain rituals that include drinking the water that was used to bath the corpse of his late father, sleeping by the graveside of his father for 14 days as well as performing other necessary rituals to wrap up the initiation rites.

This refusal according to our source angered the Ogboni group as they started hunting for Patrick’s life and his family who later suffered untold deadly attacks from members of the Ogboni “and this development however, forced Patrick and his family to relocate from their Oguola residence to Kebve Agodah Street, off Omoruyi Street, Benin City for possibly safety”, our source added.
