Obaseki, in a statement, said the appointment was deserving, expressing confidence that Rear Admiral Musa will deploy his wealth of experience in preventing and combatting terrorism and violent extremism, ensuring lasting peace and security in the country.
The governor said, “I heartily congratulate Rear Admiral Yaminu Ehinomen Musa (retd), a fine, cerebral and thoroughbred officer, on his appointment as the pioneer Coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC).
“Rear Admiral Musa, an illustrious Edo Son, has by dint of hard work and discipline, continued to distinguish himself, delivering on every role he was assigned. His appointment comes at a time we are in dire need of resilient, brave and gallant officers with the tact, zest and expertise to help overcome the country’s many insecurity challenges.
