The Nigerian Police Force has declared a 36year old, Mr. Chilota Crescent Madu wanted for allegedly involving in homosexuality act contrary to same sex marriage prohibition Act 2013 of the Federal Government of Nigeria signed into law 2014.
The indecent practice which allegedly occurred on January 10, 2022, took place at No.1 Udi Street, Abakpa Nike in Enugu State of Nigeria between 40year old, Mr. John Nweke and his 36year old sexual partner, Mr Crescent Chilota Madu. In the police interim investigation report made available to journalists yesterday, by the office of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Abakpa Division, Enugu State, Nigeria, it was gathered that on the January 10, 2022 at about 6pm, the police division received information that one Mr. John Nweke and Mr Crescent Chilota Madu both male, at No.1 Udi Street, Abakpa Nike in Enugu State of Nigeria were observed engaging themselves in an unlawful sexual relationship.
The source further disclosed that some of the irate youths who caught the said Mr Chilota Crescent Madu and his friend in the abominable act beat the day light out of them and burnt down his father’s house where the incident took place as it was considered a very big sacrilege in the village and some sacrifices will have to be performed to cleanse the village of the abominable act.
He subsequently added that before the men of Nigeria Police Division, Abakpa Division, Enugu State, Nigeria could get to the street to arrest the culprit and douse the tension in the area the culprit Mr Chilota Crescent Madu and his friend escaped.
The source however noted that the residence of both culprits have been tagged and being watched, over by the youths in the hope that the said John Nweke and his friend, Crescent Chilota Madu apprehended to come and cleanse the land and handed over to the police for persecution.
When our correspondent visited the village, a family spokesperson for Chilota Crescent Madu family who introduced himself as an uncle to the culprit confirmed the case of the abominable act committed by their son and subsequent burning of the brother’s house as a result of the incident but however said the family have been subject of ridicule from the people of the village and do not know what has happened to their son Chilota Crescent Madu and his friend John Nweke ever since the incident happened.
In a statement issued and made available to journalists and security agencies to apprehend the fleeing John Nweke and his friend Crescent Chilota Madu, police therefore said: “We hereby declare Mr. John Nweke who is about 6ft tall and dark in complexion and Crescent Chilota Madu who is about 5.8ft tall and dark in complexion also wanted consequent upon the breach of Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act 2013 signed into law January 7, 2014”. They were alleged to have engaged in homosexual practice.
Meanwhile, it will be recalled that the Federal Government passed on anti gay law in 2014 that any person or group of persons caught in the act of gay, lesbianism, Bisexual or participant in any of these group will attracts 10 to 14 years imprisonment or can be legally stoned to death according to the sharia law
“Anyone with useful information about the whereabouts of Mr. John Nweke and Mr. Crescent Chilota Madu should please contact the nearest Police Station, law enforcement agency or journalists for proper prosecution.”
All attempts to contact Mr. John Nweke and Mr. Crescent Chilota Madu in order to get his own side of the matter proved abortive as friends and relatives declined to reveal their whereabouts to journalists who made inquiries.
