BENIN CITY- A pressure Group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), ACT now, has urged its members and the general public to aggressively mobilise for the successful election of Mohammadu Buhari and Prof. Yemi Osinbajo in the March 28 general elections.
Giving the charge at a workshop organised in Benin City, yesterday, to sensitise members of the group on the need to vote wisely for change, the National and Edo State Coordinators of the Group, Barr. Ikem Isiekwema and Barr Kunbi Braithwaite respectively, urged the group members to adopt the “GOTV” strategy of “Go Out To Vote” in persuading eligible voters.
The workshop, which was an interactive one, afforded participants opportunity to brainstorm on the prospects, challenges and other related issues regarding the campaigns for Buhari/Osinbajo ticket.
The Coordinators also urged the participants to reach out to the group they described as “the Undecided”, who were yet to make up their minds on who to vote for, to educate them on the way to go.
The forum also called on the participants to defend their votes after casting them to ensure that rigging and manipulation are ruled out at all levels, starting from the ward to the National levels.
The group, which according to the organizers is barely four mouths old, has a national spread and is committed to enthroning good governance.
