IN an effort to recognize and reward academic excellence among students from diverse background in the University of Benin, Mr. Henry Imogiemhe Idogun has been honoured with an award of best graduating Masters of Business Administration, University of Benin, Benin City.
The award was conferred on him by the Tony Elumelu Foundation at the 2014 convocation of the University of Benin held recently at the Institution’s Main Auditorium, Ugbowo, Benin City.
Represented by the Leadership Development and CSR Manager, Kaita Schiller Nwafor Elumelu said, “You have been selected to receive the Tony Ehumelu Prize for Excellence as the best graduating (MBA) students of the University of Benin. This award programme is made possible through the generosity of our founder”.

Receiving the award, Idogun who is also the Executive Director Public Procurement Agency, Edo State said. “I did not realize that this foundation was in place monitoring my academic and research work. Today, I am glad to say that for every input, them is more than commensurate output.
“I also express my profound gratitude to my erstwhile Managing Director, S.S Afemikhe and Co where I earlier worked as Auditor and Rodco Group of Company. All I have achieved so far is to the glory of God Almighty”.
Mr. Henry Idogun who hails from Afokpella-Okpello, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State attended the Bendel State University, Ekpoma now Ambrose Alli University where he studied Economics and graduated with a second-class upper division.
Speaking with journalists, Mr. Idogun said “this award of excellence is dedicated to my boss and mentor Comrade Governor Adams Oshiomhole.
“There is no doubt that hard work pays”.
Mr. Idogun has attended several management courses locally and internationally. He is presently a Ph.D student of the University of Ibadan.
