Earlier in a short exhortation, Rev. Canon Odibeli of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Asaba, said it was a good thing to retire without blemishes, maintaining that it was necessary to thank God when one retired meritoriously from service.

While praying to God to strengthen the retiree, Revd. Odibeli recalled that so many things happened in service which according to him could lead to the dismissal or withdrawal of any officer from service.

Also speaking, the daughter of the celebrant, Pastor Olufumi Olaosun, said her mother was a woman of substance who consistently stood by the children.

Responding, Pastor (Mrs.) Joy Biyibi-Godson appreciated the organisers of the event for the support, saying that she was overwhelmed by the gesture.
