In an intriguing turn of events, the Super Eagles of Nigeria are poised for an exciting encounter against neighboring Benin in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. However, the match will not be held on Benin’s home soil.

This was after CAF ruled that the stadiums in Benin are sub-standard which has led to this match being relocated to a neutral venue.

Benin Republic have now been forced to go to Ivory Coast to play their first two matches as part of the qualifiers for the FIFA 2026 World Cup including that against the Super Eagles of Nigeria

The World Cup qualifier will be played between June 3 and 11.
