IN the beginning, when God created Adam and Eve, they were both naked but never knew that they were naked. When both of them fell in the Garden of Eden, because of transgressing the commandment given to them by God, having been deceived by the old Serpent, the Devil, their eyes were open to behold their nakedness. By their own human wisdom, they sewed literal aprons (girdles) made of fig leaves, to cover their nakedness. This human invention of theirs must have been inspired or motivated by the same old serpent who also caused their downfall. In Genesis 3:7, it is written and I quote “And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons.”
In the words of the Preacher in Ecclesiastes 6:12, and I quote “For who knoweth what is good for man in this life all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? For who can tell a man what shall be after him, under the sun?” God alone knows exactly what is good for man in this life. Adam and Eve therefore could not have known the literal code of dressing which was good for them to cover their nakedness. God who knew the kind of literal dressing which was good for them, made unto Adam and also unto his wife, coats of skins, and clothed them, as written in Genesis 3:21 and I quote “Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD GOD MAKE COATS OF SKINS, AND CLOTHED THEM.” And so the concept of the right type of clothing originated from God, NOT from Man. God alone knows what code of dressing is good for man and what code of dressing is good for woman. Every ordinance of God unto Mankind has never changed and will never change until the end of the world just as the ordinance of the sun, moon and stars will never change. God says in Malachi 3:6a and I quote “FOR I AM THE LORD, I CHANGE NOT: therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” This same God whose ordinance changeth not, in His wisdom gave a general code of dressing for all mankind as written in Deuteronomy 22:5 and I quote “the woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are ABOMINATION unto the LORD THY GOD.” This general code of dressing is binding on ALL HUMAN BEINGS that are created by God and especially on those who profess to know God. But unfortunately, many profess to know God, but in works they deny Him by violating the general code of dressing given by God to Man as written in Titus 1:16 and I quote “they profess to know God but in works they deny Him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.” They have become abominable in the sight of the Almighty God, because of their disobedience to this truth. They think they are wiser than God, who made this code of dressing. And the law of the Almighty God is supreme and supersedes any human precept or code, or any other man-made law, and is above any divine or constituted authority. God controls and rules in the affairs of men on earth, including the code of dressing, to cover man’s nakedness. Anyone that resists the ordinance of God, his Creator is striving with his/her Maker and WOE unto him that striveth with his Maker Isaiah 45:10a. God who clothed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden knew what was good for them to cover their physical nakedness. In the same vein, God alone knows what is good to cover the spiritual nakedness of man, which is the garment of salvation and the robe of righteousness. This garment and robe can only be gotten through Jesus Christ, the Son of God who said in John 14:6 and I quote “I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”. Coming to the Father without Jesus THE TRUTH, IS COMING TO HIM spiritually naked. The Truth must clothe you as written by Jesus Christ Himself in Revelation 3:18 and I quote “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see.”
