…hails minister for securing $14bn investment from India

The National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Dele Kelvin Oye Esq., has expressed confidence that the newly appointed Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, will drive growth of the nation’s real sector, noting that her impressive background and extensive experience have uniquely positioned her to excel in her current role.

In a statement, Oye said the minister’s recent success in securing $14 billion in investment pledges from India is a testament to her leadership acumen, negotiation skills, and expanding global network, adding that her collaborative and strategic approach brought together key players and stakeholders to engender a positive outcome that will benefit Nigeria’s economy and trade.

According to him, “Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is a visionary leader with a proven track record of success. Her impressive background and extensive experience have uniquely positioned her to excel in her current role, as evidenced by the recent $14 billion in investment pledges from India.

“Hon. Minister Uzoka-Anite’s previous roles in the banking industry and subnational governance have equipped her with a wealth of knowledge, skills, and expertise that she has applied to the task with exceptional competence. Her remarkable achievements as the Commissioner for Finance and Coordinating Commissioner for the Economy in Imo State, where she enacted sweeping reforms in public finance management, earned her global recognition from institutions such as the World Bank.

“The transparency and responsible fiscal management framework she introduced resulted in the revival of the nation’s biggest oil palm plantation and the take-off of a dredging project of a vital river channel connecting Southeastern Nigeria to the Atlantic Ocean.”

The NACCIMA boss further stated, “As the Secretary of the Presidential Economic Committee, Dr. Uzoka-Anite has played a pivotal role in designing action plans for the economic roadmap of Nigeria. Similarly, as the Secretary of the Presidential Food Security Council, she has contributed to the identification of critical infrastructure for food security and sustainability.
